Easy Chocolate Carmel Pecan Brownies

These brownies are so good, and so easy to make!  I am not a very good baker, and these turned out great for me!  Starting with a brownie mix and using premade carmel dip helped with the easiness of the recipe.  I made these for Christmas and they were a hit with everyone!

Easy Chocolate Carmel Pecan Brownies

  • 1 Box Chocolate Brownie Mix (I used Girardelli’s Chocolate Carmel Mix) – Prepare as directed.
  • 1 Cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Cheesecake Swirl:

  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 3-ounce package cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup caramel (I used 2 containers of Marzetti Old Fashioned Carmel Dip)


Preheat oven to 350˚F.  Lightly grease an 8×12 Pyrex (glass) casserole and line bottom with parchment.  Spread brownie mix into the pan. Top with ½ cup of crushed pecans or walnuts.

Using electric mixer, cream 2 tablespoons soft butter with cream cheese until fluffy.  Beat in ¼ cup sugar, 1 egg, 1 tablespoon flour and 1 teaspoon vanilla.  Add ½ cup of carmel and blend. (Heat the carmel in the microwave to make it easier to use).

Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over top of brownie mix. Use a knife to run through the batters to marbleize.

Drizzle remaining caramel over top and sprinkle the rest of the nuts on top cream cheese.

Bake about 45 minutes, or until top is golden and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.   Cool completely in pan before cutting into bars.  Store in refrigerator.
